Ayutthaya is a powerful ancient state and an old capital of Thailand which was founded in the 14th century. This is truly one of the most beautiful cities in SouthEast Asia. Sailors from many European countries came here to admire an unbelievably beautiful city, the pearl of South-East Asia. Here you will visit many temples and holy places. You will feel amazing energy that fills this city and immerse yourself into the historical period of King Naresuan’s monarchy - the period when the Thai Kingdom was prospering and thriving. It’s the age of wars and great changes. Ayutthaya is a city with rich historical past.

King’s summer residence Bang Pa In

Rama V himself comes here to have some rest from the political affairs. It’s not surprising because this place is unusually peaceful and majestic. Here important social receptions of respected European ambassadors take place.

Wat Yai Chai Mongkol Temple

A Buddhist temple that dates back to the 15th century. Here you can see Buddhist monks, lit a candle and make a wish in front of the statue of Lying Buddha. A lot of legends and superstitions have been made up and told about this place where a famous Stupa which symbolizes the victory over the Burmese is situated. There you will also visit a garden of fighting roosters.

Wat Mahat Hat Temple

A temple that was completely ruined during the war against the Burmese. It is a symbol of the ancient capital of Ayutthaya. Here the Palace of Rama I was situated. Exactly in this place there is a legendary face of Buddha wound with the roots of holy bodhi tree. The guide historian will tell you a very interesting story connected with the appearance of this image.
