Description of tours

Eternal Battle

Good and Evil: who wins?

The Sanctuary of Truth which reaches 105 m is the highest wooden temple in the world. It is designed in the style of ancient Khmer architecture. The temple built from the teak tree tells us a story of a battle between the good and the evil, between wisdom and ignorance. It reminds us that all material things are temporary and good and happiness are eternal.

Amazing Art

The construction of the temple began in 1981 and is still in process today. While building not a single nail has been used. The owner of the sanctuary died in 2000, but his death hasn’t stopped the life inside the temple. Every day it receives many tourists that want to admire the divine beauty of this architectural masterpiece.

The unity of the four elements

The sanctuary is divided into four theme halls: India, China, Cambodia and Thailand. The four elements - Fire, Earth, Air and Water - are depicted on the four walls of the Indian Hall. The majestic columns dating back several hundred years protect the sanctuary from evil spirits. The Chinese Hall is distinguished by the beautiful statues of Buddha that remind us of his higher karmic purpose in his human incarnation. In the Thai Hall you can see the seven Avatar statues symbolizing the seven days of the week. There you can also use a special table to find out the day of the week you were born.

The Statue of Fertility

The statue of mother, father and three children is frequently visited by the couples that are wanting and trying to have a baby. They rub a hand of the infant in their hopes for a long-awaited child.

What to wear in the temple?

You are to wear clothes which cover your shoulders and knees. Thus you respect Thai traditions. For many local people a visit to the sanctuary is not only for pleasure and fun - they also come here to pray.
